About the Forum
The American University Law Review Forum is the online companion to the American University Law Review. Established in 2016, the Forum publishes Responses, student Notes, Comments, Essays, and other select scholarship.
As an exclusively online publication, the Forum is particularly well suited to pieces addressing emerging legal developments, ongoing legal debates, and other issues requiring timely scholarly engagement.
Responses
The Forum publishes Responses to Articles previously published in the Law Review. These pieces bring renewed attention to the original Article and invite readers to engage with the Response’s contribution to the discussion. A Response may take a contrary position, apply an Article’s analysis in a new context, or address a significant change in the law that warrants further discussion. Responses are generally 3,000–5,000 words, including footnotes.
Student Work & Other Submissions
The Forum accepts student Notes, Comments, Essays, and other scholarly works.
